“Dammusello Views”- lovely dépendence in typical Sicilian villa with pool

A lovely cottege set in a beautiful villa close to the Stagnone Lagoon and islet of Mothia, just five minutes from the colorful and lively old town and the historic cellars of Marsala.

Cosy and characterful, you might just want to take this home with you after spending a week or two there! But it’s not just the houses that have such winning qualities: the gardens and pool offers an authentic and immersive taste of Sicilian living…

Whether you’re lounging by the pool, dining al fresco late into the night or snoozing under the shade of the monumental carob, life at “Dammusello Views” is both relaxing and revitalising.

Inside: The cottage is neatly divided into living and sleeping areas. Access is into the light living room, which features large sliding glass doorways to the veranda, flat screen tv and a sofabed. Some antique furniture and objects collected over the years by the owners give the rooms a special character. To the left of the living area, the sleeping quarters: two double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. All this area is air conditioned and offers centralized heating system too. The lovely small, but well-equipped and functional traditional kitchen, featuring a built in barbecue, as well as the typical second bathroom with shower have direct access to the veranda.

Outside:

The cottage is set amongst a series of well-tended lawns, dotted with olive trees and criss-crossed by gravel paths, one of which takes you to the solarium with terracotta flooring where the large swimming pool is flanked on either side by trees, shrubs and low dry stone walls. The solarium is situated just below the main house offering views over the gentle surrounding countryside. Closer to the house are a series of sitting areas and an al fresco dining area for those long summer dinners!

The house outdoor sitting area, a large tiled veranda that runs around the house by the side of the kitchen, allows you to enjoy the outdoor spaces in perfect privacy, as it is located at the rear of the cottege compared to the main house.

The main house and the dépendance are also let separately, so you might not have exclusive use of the grounds and the pool. Nevertheless, the two buildings are not adjacent but separated by the parking zone and a piece of garden, which also allows you to enjoy the quiet both day and night.

The view from the living room, the spacious bedrooms and central heating make “Dammusello views” a cosy option also for anyone travelling in spring and autumn.
